about

Open World is a Trip-Hop project with influences ranging from Gothic Rock, Industrial down to video game soundtracks of the late 90s to early 00s and features a variety of guest vocalists from the Christian alternative scene.

The debut single, Children Of The Night, features Skot Shaw of Leper and includes an instrumental, a remix by Industrial outfit How To Avoid Art and a spooky piano version.

"'Children of the Night' is the haunting new single from Open World. In many ways, the track can be likened back to the new wave that ruled the 80s, but with a more brooding, atmospheric tone. Although accurate to some extent, labeling the sound solely as 'goth rock' would be selling songwriter and producer Jared Lockrem short."

Track Name: Children Of The Night (feat. Skot Shaw)
Swimming in moonlight,
Beneath a sky,
As black as the soul,
And hate you and die,
But if God made the sky,
Then God made the night,
(And everything in it)
Therefore His beauty is here,
(And everything that hath breath)
There is no need for fear

Wolf and bat,
Rabbit and rat,
All have their place,
so why are you afraid

(Chorus)
Creatures of darkness,
Children of night,
Still they sing praises,
to the Father Of Light

Wolf and bat,
Rabbit and rat,
All have their place,
so why are you afraid

Spider and fox,
Owl and hawk,
All have their worth,
in God's kingdom of earth

(Chorus)

(Chorus x2)
